Keynote Programme
3 DAYS
SPACES FOR DIALOGUE
Overview
The keynote programme brings together practitioners whose work treats space, dialogue, and embodied awareness as civic infrastructure. Across architecture, peacebuilding, education, the arts, and frontline civic practice, the speakers ask what it means to rebuild not only buildings, but trust, participation, and public life. Craig Dykers, Kjetil Trædal Thorsen, Thania Paffenholz, Ilwad Elman (TBD), and Daniel Proietto with others each bring a distinct perspective: civic architecture as cultural continuity, public space as democratic ground, building as participatory learning, peacebuilding as inclusive process, frontline peace work as lived civic reconstruction, and movement as a condition for dialogue. Together, they establish the intellectual and human frame for Rethinking Rebuilding.
